Drakelow Park Flying High Academy has opened in Drakelow Park for its first intake. The school website lists Thursday 10 September 2026 as the first day for Reception children, with pre-school children starting from Monday 14 September.
The new school is on Marley Way in Drakelow and has capacity for 420 pupils when fully occupied. Its first year starts with Reception and pre-school rather than every primary year group at once.
Drakelow Hub has added the academy to the local schools guide alongside nearby primary, secondary and specialist provision, with practical journey information from Drakelow Park.
