No advertising or analytics cookies are currently used.

Drakelow Hub does not use behavioural advertising, cross-site tracking, Google Analytics or another analytics cookie. The site records anonymous aggregate page and action counts on its own server without setting an analytics cookie or persistent visitor identifier. Because there are no non-essential tracking cookies to accept or reject, the site does not show a cookie-consent banner.

Technical browser storage

The site may use short-lived sessionStorage in your browser for a technical cache-reload guard. Its purpose is to stop a page repeatedly reloading while a local data cache becomes available. It is not used to identify you, build a profile or track you between websites, and it disappears when the browser session ends.

Aggregate site measurement

When a production page loads, the browser can send Drakelow Hub a first-party measurement request containing the page path and a simple event type. For outbound links, only a broad category such as event source or business website is counted. The metrics file stores daily totals only. It does not store IP addresses, user-agent strings, full referrers, email addresses or a visitor ID.

Third-party resources

Some pages request resources directly from third-party services. Google Fonts is used for typography, and the interactive Drakelow map uses OpenStreetMap tiles. These are network requests rather than Drakelow Hub advertising cookies, but the third-party provider will receive ordinary connection data such as your IP address when your browser makes the request.

If this changes

If Drakelow Hub later introduces analytics, advertising or another non-essential technology that requires consent, it will not be enabled before an appropriate consent mechanism is added. The approach follows the ICO guidance on cookies and similar technologies. This page will also be updated to explain what is used, why it is used and how long it lasts.
